Guangzhou Science Museum:
Guangzhou, China
In collaboration with MLA+ architects in Rotterdam we developed a Architectural pitch with a central concept of a building that is designed as a content driven visitor experiences. Not a building that has spaces for functions, but a building that is an integral part of the exhibitions and enhances the messages and values the museum want to express.
The Science Museum’s festival atmosphere starts before visitors enter the building. Pavilions scattered through the park offer temporary (art) exhibitions, science demonstrations and play areas. When one enters te builing the building unfolds itself and clearly shows the destination within the building. This 5th generation science center with it's 8 main galleries will be a platform for Science & Technology Creation and Dialogue for lifelong learning in partnership with its communities and other agencies such as schools, universities, and commercial Sci-Tech companies.
