Nelson & Napoléon
Maritime museum
London , England
Nelson & Napoléon, a special exhibition at the National Maritime Museum was the focal point to SeaBritain 2005. Open from July to November of that year, it served to commemorate the bicentenary of the death of Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar.
The intent of the gallery was to survey the politics and culture of the period, as told through the dominant and cultish figures of Nelson and Napoleon. The space was divided equally between the two great men with a timeline of events illustrated through impressive personal artefacts and graphics.
